Thin-Crust Pizza lover's paradise! Can't get thinner than this!
After cheering and shouting for my sister and my cousin in the harsh cold winter during the NYC Half, we all trekked over to Posto Pizza to fill ourselves with some good American grubs. We were immediately seated once we arrived. The service was good, though the waitress wasn't all too happy or enthusiastic. But it was a cold winter Sunday, so I'd understand.
Because we were super hungry, we immediately ordered three 9" pies. We ordered the Shroomtown [$12.50], the Chickpotle [$11.50], and the Salsiccia Dolce [$10.50]. My favorite would have to be Shroomtown. The fusion of truffle oil and shiitake mushroom was phenomenal! It was the first pie to be killed and left everyone craving for more! I would only not recommend this if you do not love Shiitake mushrooms since it is the dominant flavour in this dish. The Chickpotle was delicious as well. Pie was filled with toppings with a spicy kick. But I would have to say the Salsiccia Dolce definitely beats it in taste. Though it has more simple toppings than the Chickpotle, the flavours were just right, not too overpowering. The caramelized onions add an extra sweetness to the slice balancing off the sour taste of marinara sauce. In all, I would have to choose Shroomtown as my number one choice followed not by far, the Salsiccia Dolce.
If you love thin-crust pizza, or pizza in general, this is definitely worth the trek! Did I mention how thin the crust is too?? Best pizza place I've been to thus far!Listed in: Go-To Places in NYC -

I've been to Spunto before and the pizza here is just as delicious, but the customer service is really spotty. There were many seats available, but the host was so unbelievably overwhelmed anyway that it took maybe 7 minutes of us just standing there before he could figure something out. The waitress seemed out of it and complacent as well.
I do like that there is outdoor seating, but there really is not much ambiance. Certainly not inside and even outside, it's kind of an off area that it's not bustling too much.
I do prefer the location and atmosphere of Spunto more, but I'll try the Vezzo and Gruppo before I decide.
Pizza is super thin (cracker-like), but somehow the toppings still don't fall off, which is great. It's light, healthy, and tasty. Perfect for summer! -

Absolutely delicious. What a great neighborhood restaurant -and not bad prices for New York.
We had an amazing spinach salad, garlic bread (okay, but nothing special) and the meatball pizza. While I didn't care for the meatballs - everything else about the pizza was great. A super thin crispy crust, the perfect amount of cheese and basil. The pizza was gigantic! We shared between 3 of us.
Loved the picnic style tables outside. If I lived in New York- I'd be back for sure. -

This place is a must if you enjoy thin-crust pizza. No matter where I am in the world, anytime I start to crave pizza, this place is the first place to come to mind.
I don't really know what else to say about the pizza besides it's 100% the best. The crust is crispy and so is the underside, but the dough isn't a cracker. Meat toppings are also a must if you enjoy hearty pizza slices.
Also, you might overlook it, but the salads on the menu are all fantastic. 2 salads and 1 pizza is plenty for 4 people who are looking to leave content without desiring more. Specifically, try the tre colori salad. -

I don't care WHAT you call it, this is some good pizza!
I went to Posto with two friends while strolling through the city, looking for a quick bite. This place was nearby and looked nice and simple from the outside, so we decided to give it a go.
It's not a huge restaurant, but it's cozy and we got a table straight away. They have a good selection of drinks, including real ginger ale (... yes, with ACTUAL ginger) and a well-maintained wine card.
The pizzas here come with a thin crust and nicely arranged toppings. It's tasty, it has a good size and it doesn't take forever to come out of the kitchen. It's one of the better pizza places I've tried in NYC so far and even though it's not a typical NY pizza, it's a damn good one.
Service was quick, friendly and the atmosphere didn't feel posh or artificial. It's just a nice little restaurant to have dinner with some friends.Listed in: The 100 Yelp Reviews Challenge… -

***I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, this review is based completely on delivery.
One of my favorite places to get delivery from - fantastic super thin crust pizza (by far my favorite style of pizza).
Always takes exactly as long as they tell you when they place the order and always, 100% of the time, arrives still hot and cooked to perfection.
You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the toppings far exceed the usual pizzaria canned stuff.
But if you're like me, you forgo the toppings and just get the simple, rustic, crispy pie - slightly well done. Nothing better. No need to mess with perfection by trying to pile up this expert pie with silly combinations of vegetables. (Ok, the sausage is great - but don't get crazy! One topping maximum!)
A bit pricey, but worth it. For a few dollars more than your standard greasy mess, you get pizza how it is supposed to be made. Besides, this isn't the city to look for bargains. -

I was just here with my friends two days ago and j have to say this place has by far the best thin crust pizza in the city (try the mushrooms one)! Good beer selection, friendly attentive service perfect in the spring and summer since you can eat at their outside picnic tables. I didn't like their appetizer menu, no much room for something different than their star pizzas aside from salads. But amazing place overall. -

New York pizza is always up for debate, but few people can argue the deliciousness of Posto of Gramercy / East Flatiron. On the outside it may look like the average pizzeria, but Posto's claim to fame may lie in their incredibly thin crust pizza. I don't know of a thinner slice in Manhattan, let alone NYC. Skinny pizza lovers need look no further.
Because it's so thin, the pizza often gets flack for being too pricey. Just how some people are willing to pay $10 for a tiny burger, the same also exists in the pizza realm. For some it's about quality, others its quantity, thankfully Posto has a little bit of both.
One entire pie is totally doable for a single person, of course, depending on the topping. The pizza classica is a safe bet and the meat lovers is hearty without being too meaty. Every slice has just the right amount of sauce, without being completely caked with cheese and excessive toppings - an easy pitfall for any thin crust pie.
Got an aversion to pizza? One of the best alternatives is their array of underrated salads. Topped with walnuts, roasted pears and fresh greens, the tre-colori salad makes for a perfect appetizer / lunch salad. I also give high marks on the beet and the quinoa salads for being well prepared, light, and tasty in their own right.
Finally, service is no slouch. I appreciate the service level here, which combined with their knack of quality execution, makes it an easy choice to come here any time.
