Good Morning friends. Well I had a delivery yesterday, it wasn't quite like this . However I had great conversation with one of our friends on here John Thorpe, he was telling me he started out his fire service career on one of these LaFrance beauties... Hats off to our forefathers of the fire service without them we would not be where we are today. Thank you John for your 50 Plus years of service.

Joel Sacks Not sure of the exact vintage of the one in the photo, but when I started on OFD, we still had several of the 1948 ALF pumpers and aerials as reserve units. They don't make them like that anymore!

Scott Graham Science has certainly earned its place within the fire service; however, no amount of it will ever replace the iron will and brass balls needed by those who choose to run in when everyone else is running out.

Photographed these rigs at a muster in Suffern, New York about 40 years ago. I think the Mahwah, NJ Mack was still in service at the time.

I got these Jim Beam collectibles as house warming gifts. Both are unopened. Thought I'd share them with The Firetruck Guru. They are circa 1978 I believe.
